Box Score Southwestern Christian Defense was the Key to this game, Forcing 24 turnovers on the Moundbuilders, with 9 steals, and 3 Blocks. The Moundbuilders shot 16-56 from the Field about 28%, 7-24 from three (29%) and also had a tough time at the Charity strike shooting 9-18. SCU Defense was stout and forced tough shots. Abbey Phibbs had three steals on the night and Tresha Yager had two. The Eagles were able to get 16 pts off of Turnovers which helped lead to the Rout.
The Lady Eagles Offense also had a good showing today, as they shot 25-73 from the Floor (34%). They did improve shooting from beyond the arc and at the Charity strike, SCU shot 12-33 from three (36%) and with a big improvement from the Free throw line from 50% in last game to 13-16 (81%). Thamires Andrade led the SCU Lady Eagles at the Free Throw line going 10-12. The Bench helped also contributed 23 pts to the Winning effort. The Lady Eagles Out-Rebounded the Moundbuilders 43-36. SCU had 16 Offensive rebounds in the game which led to 15 second chance pts for the SCU offense. The Lady Eagles also moved the Ball really well tonight getting 21 assist in the Game. Abbey Phibbs, Tresha Yager and Lauren Masquat each had Five assists a piece.
Junior Tresha Yager had a really big night for the Lady Eagles scoring 17 pts off of 6-14 shooting, she went 5-11 from beyond the Arc, Her final stat line was 17 pts, 5 Ast, 4 Rebs, and 2 Steals. The Senior Thamires Andrade contributes to the Offensive effort with 3-8 shooting and 10-12 from the Free throw Line, she finished the game with 16 pts, 7 Rebs, 2 Ast, 1 BLK, and 1 Stl. Kirstyn Strain had 9 pts,Gillian Snowder finished with 7 pts, and Abbey Phibbs and Kirstyn Strain both Finished with 6 pts.
The Lady Eagles will return to action at Home on Saturday, November 6th, at 1:00 pm against Kansas Christian College(1-3) at Pickens-Springer Gymnasium in Bethany,OK.
