SCU Softball and Women's Basketball Named to NCCAA Winter/Spring 2026 Scholar Teams
Greenville, SC – The National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) announced its 2026 Winter and Spring Scholar Teams, recognizing programs that demonstrated excellence in the classroom throughout the academic year. Among the honored programs were Southwestern Christian University Softball and Women's Basketball, both earning recognition as NCCAA Scholar Teams.
To be eligible for the prestigious award, teams must achieve a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.40 on a 4.00 scale, combining the GPAs of all student-athletes on the roster. This year, 43 teams from 19 NCCAA institutions were recognized for their academic achievement.
The recognition highlights the dedication and discipline of SCU student-athletes, who continue to excel both in competition and in the classroom. The honor reflects the commitment of the student-athletes, coaches, and academic support staff to maintaining a culture of excellence across all areas of collegiate athletics.
