The Southwestern Christian women's basketball season came to a close Saturday afternoon as the Eagles fell 76-61 to College of the Ozarks in Point Lookout, Missouri
With the loss, the Eagles finish the 2025-26 campaign with an 11-15 overall record and an 8-14 mark in SAC play.
Ozarks gained control early, taking a 21-13 lead after the first quarter and stretching the advantage to 45-28 at halftime.
The home team shot an efficient 64.3% in the second quarter to build separation.
Southwestern Christian showed fight coming out of the break. The Eagles outscored Ozarks 20-15 in the third quarter, shooting 46.7% from the floor and hitting three three-pointers to trim the deficit.
Despite the strong response, the early gap proved too much to overcome as Ozarks secured the 76-61 victory.
Carmella Jefferson led the Eagles with 15 points on 5-of-7 shooting, including 2-of-3 from beyond the arc.
Chrissen Harland and
Alexus Roberson each added 11 points, while
Kaydrin Scott chipped in six points and pulled down a team-high eight rebounds.
As a team, the Eagles shot 35.6% from the field and 26.1% from three-point range.
Though the season ended on the road, Southwestern Christian's 11-win campaign featured competitive conference play and continued growth throughout the year.
