The Southwestern Christian University men's and women's track teams delivered a strong showing at the SAC Conference Track Meet, highlighted by a championship performance and multiple podium finishes.
Leading the way for the Eagles was sprinter Malachi Weatherly, who captured the SAC title in the 100 meters with an impressive time of 10.47. Weatherly's explosive start and top-end speed secured him the conference crown, marking one of the top performances of the meet. He followed that up with another standout finish in the 200 meters, placing third with a time of 21.43 to earn additional points for SCU.
In the field events, Zane Zamanski made his presence felt with a pair of top-three finishes. Zamanski earned runner-up honors in the hammer throw with a mark of 132 feet, 10 inches, showcasing his consistency and strength in the event. He also added a third-place finish in the discus, further contributing to the Eagles' overall team performance.
Both the men's and women's squads competed with determination throughout the meet, representing SCU with energy and competitiveness against conference opponents. With a conference champion, multiple podium finishes, and valuable experience gained, the Eagles continue to build momentum as they close out the season.
