The Southwestern Christian University men's golf team competed at the Top of Texas Tournament hosted by Wayland Baptist University on March 9–10 at Tascosa Golf Club in Amarillo, Texas. The Eagles' B team finished seventh overall in the tournament field.

SCU recorded rounds of +49, +57, and +34 to finish with a three-round total of +140 for the event. The host team Wayland Baptist captured the tournament title with a score of +20, followed by West Texas A&M (B) and the University of the Southwest.

Individual Performances

Southwestern Christian was led individually by Andrea Matlega, who finished tied for 23rd overall with a three-round score of +22 after posting rounds of +8, +6, and +8.

Other Eagles competing included:

• Tim Hätty, who finished tied for 39th with a score of +37.

• Carter Jarrett, who placed 41st overall at +51.

• Dakota Weatherford, who finished 42nd with a score of +53.

• Tyler Albeyta, who placed 43rd at +54.

Tournament Recap

The Eagles showed improvement in the final round, recording their lowest score of the tournament to close the two-day event. Competing against several strong programs provided valuable tournament experience as SCU continues its spring schedule.
