WILLOW PARK, Texas — Southwestern Christian University's men's and women's golf teams competed at the Texas Wesleyan Spring Invitational, facing deep NAIA fields over two days at Squaw Creek Golf Course.
Women's Recap: Eagles Finish 6th
The SCU women's team placed sixth out of six teams, competing against a strong group that included Blinn College, Texas Wesleyan, and Weatherford College.
The Eagles were led by a core group of Katie Moore, Taylor Frazier, Victoria Wiedel, and Emily Shelton, who each battled through challenging conditions across both rounds.
Despite the team finish, SCU gained valuable experience against a field that featured multiple top individual performers finishing near or under par, highlighting the level of competition at the event.
Men's Recap: SCU Places 11th in 12-Team Field
On the men's side, the Eagles finished 11th out of 12 teams in a highly competitive tournament that featured several nationally ranked programs and a three-round format.
Dawson Branstetter continued to lead SCU, finishing among the team's top performers and holding his own against a field that included players finishing under par.
He was supported by contributions from Caden Stevens, Matthew King, Carter Jarrett, and Andrea Matlega, as the Eagles competed through all three rounds.
