Box Score CLARKSVILLE, Ark. — Southwestern Christian University extended its unbeaten start to the 2025 season with a convincing 2–0 victory over the University of the Ozarks on Saturday afternoon.
The Lady Eagles wasted no time setting the tone. In the 11th minute, midfielder Sofia Ovando buried a free kick into the back of the net to give Southwestern Christian the early advantage. From there, the visitors dictated much of the tempo, creating chances while keeping Ozarks' attack under control.
After halftime, Southwestern Christian doubled its lead. Forward Riley Stanfill capitalized in the 57th minute, finishing a setup from Abbigail Johnson to put the match out of reach.
Defensively, the Lady Eagles were rock solid. Goalkeeper Lorelai Puglisi faced just two shots on goal, calmly turning both away to secure the clean sheet. Southwestern Christian outshot Ozarks 18–8 overall and maintained steady pressure in the attacking third.
The victory lifts Southwestern Christian to 3-0-1 on the season, keeping the team unbeaten through four matches. With momentum building, the Lady Eagles will look to carry their strong form into conference
