BETHANY, Okla. — September 21, 2026 — The Southwestern Christian University women's soccer team continued its unbeaten start to the season Monday night, shutting out Hesston College 5-0 at home.

The Eagles improved to 6-0-1 on the season with the victory, scoring once in the first half before exploding for four goals after halftime.

After a scoreless opening 34 minutes, Hannah Raska broke through in the 35th minute, scoring her first goal of the season off an assist from Shosona Graham. SCU carried the 1-0 advantage into halftime.

The Eagles quickly added to their lead in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Hadley McLanahan found the back of the net off assists from Graham and Raska, pushing SCU ahead 2-0.

SCU continued to control the match, and Rachel Slaven made it 3-0 in the 69th minute after receiving an assist from Abbigail Johnson.

The Eagles added another goal just 10 minutes later when Alexandrea Villalobos scored off an assist from Graham, giving SCU a commanding 4-0 advantage.

Johnson capped the scoring in the 81st minute, scoring her ninth goal of the season to complete the 5-0 victory.

Graham played a major role in the offensive attack, finishing with three assists, while Raska recorded a goal and an assist. Johnson added a goal and an assist, while McLanahan, Slaven and Villalobos each contributed a goal.

SCU dominated the offensive numbers, holding an 18-4 advantage in shots and putting 10 shots on goal compared to four for Hesston. The Eagles also held a 4-0 advantage in corner kicks.

Goalkeeper Aven DeFalco recorded the shutout, making four saves in 90 minutes of action.

The victory keeps the Eagles unbeaten through seven matches at 6-0-1.
