CEDARVILLE, Ohio – The Southwestern Christian University Eagles displayed their athletic prowess at the NCCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships, held on February 8, 2025, at Doden Fieldhouse, Cedarville University. Against a backdrop of intense competition from teams like Campbellsville, Malone, Greenville, and Bethel (Ind.), the Eagles soared to notable placements in several events.
The Eagles' men's team finished 6th out of 18, a remarkable achievement considering the caliber of the competition. Meanwhile, the women's team secured the 16th spot. Standout performances came from
Kerry Robinson, who clinched the National Champion title in Men's Long Jump with an impressive leap of 7.26 meters, spotlighting him as a leading athlete in the championships.
CaLee Williams also made headlines, securing 4th place in Men's Triple Jump with a 13.65-meter jump and 5th in the Long Jump. Further commendable performances included
Jared Harrington and
Malachi Weatherly in the 400 Meter Dash and 200 Meter Dash respectively, highlighting their strong presence in sprint events.
Kinyon Burge, another Eagles' star, secured 4th in the Men 60 Meter Dash, while
Zane Zamanski, a freshman, displayed his potential by placing 5th in Men Shot Put.
On the women's side,
Carissa Burns stood out in both the 60 and 200 Meter Dashes, making a significant impact despite tough competition. The meet was marked by these high-energy competitions and showcased the budding potential of the Eagles amid a fiercely competitive field.
