Student-Athlete Spotlight: Sasha Wilson

BETHANY, Okla.-- Over the next few weeks, Southwestern Christian will be spotlighting some of our student-athletes. Today we take a look at a pair of Track & Field athletes. First up, Sasha Wilson!

Sasha is a freshman thrower out of Luther, Okla. She came directly out of Luther High School and has already made an impact on the women's track program.

In just her first meet of her collegiate career, Wilson shattered the school record for women's 25 lb. weight throw. She threw an impressive 38' 9.75", shattering the previous record by over 10 feet. Later in the indoor season, Wilson would also collect a school-record in the shot-put with a throw of 40' 2.25" at the JD Martin Invitational.

She would go onto compete in both events at the NCCAA national championships, claiming a 6th place finish in the shot put.
