Southwestern Christian University Places 11 Teams on SAC All-Academic Scholar Team List; 94 Student-Athletes Earn Individual Recognition

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. — Southwestern Christian University continued to demonstrate excellence in both the classroom and in competition as 11 Eagle programs were recognized on the 2025-26 Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC) All-Academic Scholar Team list, released Tuesday by the conference office.

The announcement marks the beginning of the SAC's annual celebration of academic achievement among its member institutions. A total of 129 teams across the conference earned Scholar Team recognition by posting a cumulative team grade point average of 3.00 or higher during the academic year.

Southwestern Christian joined John Brown, Nelson, Oklahoma City, Panhandle State, Science & Arts, Texas Wesleyan, and Wayland Baptist among the conference leaders in academic success. Oklahoma City, Texas Wesleyan, and Wayland Baptist led the conference with 15 Scholar Teams each, while SCU finished with 11 recognized programs.

The Eagles' honored teams included:

In addition to the team honors, 94 Southwestern Christian University student-athletes were recognized individually for their academic excellence.

Kameron Burris, Austin Smith, Camryn Reed, Lukas Wooldridge, JJ Jerdee, Jalen Goar, and Jonah Jenkins.

Men's Soccer (15)

The recognition highlights SCU's continued commitment to developing student-athletes who excel both academically and athletically. By placing 11 programs on the conference's All-Academic Scholar Team list and producing 94 individual honorees, the Eagles once again showcased the University's emphasis on success in the classroom while competing at a high level across the Sooner Athletic Conference.
