Bethany, OK — Southwestern Christian University is proud to announce that its baseball team has been named a recipient of the 2024–25 ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award, presented by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) and Sports Attack.

This prestigious honor recognizes high school and college programs that achieved a cumulative team GPA of 3.0 or higher during the academic year. SCU stands among over 440 college programs nationwide to receive this award—highlighting the academic dedication and discipline of its student-athletes.

"This recognition is a direct reflection of the character and commitment of our players off the field," said Head Baseball Coach Joe Blackwell. "Our guys continue to show that they're serious about their education, and I couldn't be more proud of the way they represent this university."
