HOBBS, N.M. — Southwestern Christian University men's golf posted a 10th-place finish at the Battling in the Desert tournament, held October 6–7 at Rockwind Community Links Golf Course (par 70).

The Eagles combined for a team total of +35, highlighted by Dawson Branstetter's impressive even-par finish to place tied for eighth individually in a strong NAIA field.

Matthew King and Gaspard Marechal both closed at +10, tying for 37th overall, while Andrea Matlega carded +16 and Caden Stevens finished at +22 to round out SCU's scoring.

Rockwind's narrow fairways and steady winds proved challenging throughout the event, pushing most of the field over par. Texas Wesleyan's Brady Meek claimed the individual title after a playoff, while Oklahoma City University earned the team crown.

Despite the tough conditions, SCU's balanced play earned another top-10 team finish this fall. The Eagles will look to carry that momentum into their next outing as they continue to build consistency and confidence across their lineup.
