Southwestern Christian (2-0, 0-0 SAC) beat Jarvis Christian College on Friday afternoon in Sterlington, LA at the Cajun Collision.

SCU scored 4 runs in the third inning and it was enough for them to hold off Jarvis for the victory. Jarvis Christian tried to make a come back late in game when they a double and homerun happen in the same inning.

SCU got on the board first with a homerun off of Mitchell Bryant bat scoring two. In the third inning SCU had another homerun hit by Jhors Gomez and followed up with a double by O'Shea Whiteside.

Jose Perez started the game for the Eagles allowing 7 hits and six runs over four inning while striking out 9. Connor O'Malley gets the Win for Southwestern Christian allowing 0 runs on 1 hit in 3 innings.

SCU mustered 14 hits in the ballgame, but still having 6 strikeouts.

The Eagles will return to action on Friday, February 11, at 5:00 PM against  Louisiana State University Alexandria in another Cajun Collision match up.
