Finishes Sixth at Top of Texas Tournament

The Southwestern Christian University women's golf team competed in the Top of Texas Tournament on March 9–10 at Tascosa Golf Club in Amarillo, Texas, finishing sixth overall in the team standings against a competitive NAIA field.

SCU posted a three-round total of +245, with rounds of +82, +88, and +75 during the two-day tournament hosted by Wayland Baptist University.

The tournament title was claimed by New Mexico Junior College, which finished at +96, while University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma placed second and Wayland Baptist finished third.

Eagles Individual Performances

Several Eagles turned in solid performances across the three rounds, led by Katie Moore, who finished 21st overall with a +52 tournament score after rounds of 21, 18, and 13 over par.

Victoria Wiedel finished 23rd with a total score of +57, improving during the middle round before closing the event with a 17-over performance in the final round.

The Eagles improved in their final round, posting their lowest score of the tournament to close the event. The experience competing against several nationally ranked programs provided another opportunity for the SCU squad to gain valuable tournament experience early in the spring season.
