Softball Defeats Xavier (LA) at NAIA Invitational
Southwestern Christian softball picked up another win Friday with a strong performance against Xavier University of Louisiana at the NAIA Invitational in Mesquite, Texas.
The Eagles built an early lead behind timely hitting from Hannah Keele and Kylee Coy, while Trinity Norwood provided a spark offensively with a key extra-base hit that helped extend the advantage. SCU continued to apply pressure on the bases throughout the game.
In the pitching circle, the Eagles limited Xavier's offense, allowing just two late runs. The SCU staff worked efficiently to control the game and close out the victory.
With the two wins on the day, Southwestern Christian opened the 2026 season undefeated and showed balance across the lineup as the Eagles move forward in non-conference play.
