BETHANY, Okla. — The Southwestern Christian University Eagles softball team delivered an offensive showcase on Feb. 19, sweeping Southwestern College Moundbuilders in a run-filled doubleheader, 12–0 and 13–1.
The Eagles combined for 25 runs on 28 hits across the two games, improving to 6–0 at the time with a pair of run-rule victories.
Game One: Early Explosion Sets the Tone
Southwestern Christian broke the opener open with a six-run third inning and never looked back in a 12–0 win.
-
H. Keele went a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBIs and four stolen bases to lead the offense.
-
Home runs from J. Moralez, K. McCollom, and K. Daniel powered the Eagles' extra-base attack.
-
Pitcher J. Czikra earned the win with four scoreless innings, allowing just three hits.
SCU finished with 14 hits and did not commit an error defensively.
Game Two: Offense Stays Hot
The Eagles carried that momentum into Game Two, scoring five runs in the first inning on their way to a 13–1 victory.
-
E. Garza collected three hits and scored twice, sparking the lineup from the top.
-
H. Kuhlman drove in three runs, while S. Gilbert and P. Leba added multi-hit performances.
-
L. King struck out eight over four innings to secure the win in the circle.
Southwestern Christian again totaled 14 hits and used aggressive baserunning to pressure the defense throughout the game.
The doubleheader highlighted SCU's depth, speed, and power, as the Eagles scored in every inning but one across the two contests while holding Southwestern to just one combined run.
With strong pitching and relentless offense, Southwestern Christian continued to build momentum early in the 2026 season.
