Southwestern Christian University men's basketball earned a hard-fought 79–76 victory over Central Christian College on Thursday night, January 8, in Bethany, Oklahoma, improving to 6–8 overall and 4–5 in conference play.

The Eagles battled through a challenging first half, trailing 47–41 at the break after Central Christian shot efficiently early. SCU responded with strong defensive effort and timely scoring in the second half, outscoring the Tigers 38–29 to complete the comeback.

Elijah Garcia led all scorers with a standout performance, pouring in 24 points and going an impressive 13-of-14 from the free-throw line. Jalen Goar added 15 points, including three three-pointers, while Michal Wooldridge chipped in 14 points and key contributions down the stretch. JaColby Williams also reached double figures with 12 points and pulled down 10 rebounds for a double-double effort.

Southwestern Christian's depth proved to be a difference-maker, as the bench accounted for 33 points. The Eagles also capitalized at the free-throw line, shooting 26-of-38, including 19 made free throws in the second half to seal the win.

With the victory, SCU continues to build momentum in conference play, showing resilience and composure in close games as the season progresses.
