Bartlesville, OK — September 3, 2025 — The Southwestern Christian University volleyball team had a tough road test at Oklahoma Wesleyan University, ultimately falling in straight sets, 0–3 (17–25, 9–25, 15–25), in front of approximately 100 fans at the venue in Bartlesville.
Despite the loss, the Eagles showed flashes of determination and energy. The first set was competitive—SCU managed to hold ground in the early stages—before OKWU pulled away to take it 25–17.
The second set proved especially difficult. The Eagles were held scoreless in attacks (0 kills) and posted a challenging hitting percentage of –.240, while OKWU dominated with a .370 efficiency and took the set decisively 25–9.
The third set mirrored earlier struggles, with SCU posting just 5 kills and a meager .026 hitting percentage compared to OKWU's 19 kills and .462 efficiency, sealing the 25–15 set and the match.
