BETHANY, Okla. — Southwestern Christian opened Sooner Athletic Conference play Friday night but came up short against Texas Wesleyan, falling in straight sets (25-18, 25-13, 25-7).
The Eagles (0-4, 0-1 SAC) battled early, keeping the first set competitive before the visiting Rams pulled away. SCU was led offensively by Emery Hulme, who recorded a team-high seven kills, while Kloe Booker-Searcy added six kills. Setter Megan Graham tallied 12 assists to guide the offense.
Despite flashes of strong play, SCU struggled to find consistency at the net, finishing with a .019 hitting percentage compared to TWU's .287.
