Box Score 2 Dallas, Texas - Southwestern Christian University and Dallas Christian College completed their weekend series today, playing two more games that the Eagles would handily win. Game 3 of the weekend finished with a 9-2 score, and Game 4 finished with a 21-3 score.
Game 3
Southwestern Christian continued their success this weekend by getting out to an early lead in Game 3 when
Gregory Berroa scored in the first, but throughout the game, the bottom of the Eagles lineup would come up big. Berroa,
Jake Cox, and
Joey Thornton all scored twice, with Thornton going 3-4 with 2 RBIs, a double, and a home run.
Elvis Rojas had another great game, going 2-4 with a double and triple.
Braden Browning had a home run, and
Jhors Gomez went 2-3 with a double, a walk, and 2 RBIs. On the mound,
Elian Cuevas threw six full innings, striking out nine, and only allowing three hits for one Crusaders run.
Jacob Hogan closed the game out, allowing the only other Crusaders run, but striking out one and only allowing one hit.

Game 4
Dallas Christian College ran out of steam against the Eagles in Game 4, as SCU scored 21 runs against DCC, with
Jhors Gomez hitting for the cycle and headlining the SCU offense. His grand slam in the 7th was the cherry on top for an Eagles team that outscored the Crusaders 64-17 this weekend. This time, the Eagles grabbed three runs in the first and held onto the for the entire game, as Dallas Christian managed one run in response in the bottom half of the inning before SCU poured on the scoring. Gomez went 5-6 while left fielder
Gregory Berroa went 5-5; the pair both scored five times, with Gomez knocking in 9 runs and Berroa knocking in 3.
Braden Browning was 3-3 with 2 RBIs, while
Draike Sparks,
Matys Gagnon,
Kyler Ayres, and
James Folsom all grabbed one or more RBIs. The Eagles finished with 22 total hits in this game, with 2 coming from
Dario Paredes,

Jake Cox each.
Mozart Duarte got the win after throwing four innings, and
Alexis Hurens relieved the starter, finishing the game out and throwing three full innings.
