BETHANY, Okla. — Southwestern Christian Men's Basketball put together a strong offensive showing but fell 97–81 to John Brown University on Friday afternoon in Sooner Athletic Conference play.
Jalen Goar and Michal Wooldridge powered the Eagles with 23 points each, combining for 46 of SCU's 81 points. Goar went 5-for-9 from beyond the arc, while Wooldridge dominated the glass with a 14-rebound double-double.
Freshman guard Kameron Burris delivered a spark off the bench, scoring 13 points on 5-of-6 shooting, including three makes from deep. Aiden Todd added six points, five rebounds, and five assists, while JaColby Williams tallied five points and six rebounds.
SCU shot 44.8% from the field and 36% from three but couldn't slow a hot-shooting JBU team that finished at 53.6% overall. The Eagles stayed within striking distance early in the second half before John Brown pulled away at the free-throw line.
Southwestern Christian moves to 4–6 overall and 2–3 in SAC play and returns to action next week looking to bounce back in conference competition.
