BETHANY, Okla. — Southwestern Christian women's basketball surged past College of the Ozarks on Wednesday night, earning a strong 70–59 win behind a dominant second quarter and multiple standout performances.
After trailing 17–13 through the first period, SCU exploded with a 28-point second quarter to take control of the game. Kaydrin Scott led the way with 17 points and seven rebounds, while Carmella Jefferson delivered a huge spark off the bench with 15 points, seven assists, and six rebounds.
Logan Jones added 17 points, including three clutch fourth-quarter threes that helped the Eagles maintain their lead. Keara Mattingley contributed 15 points and seven rebounds, and Alexus Roberson added eight points in limited minutes.
SCU out-rebounded the Bobcats 40–34 and forced 18 turnovers while scoring 30 points off those miscues. The win moves Southwestern Christian to 5–3 on the season and 2–2 in SAC play.
