BETHANY, Okla. — Southwestern Christian battled through a tight, physical matchup on Friday afternoon but came up short in a 73–67 overtime loss to John Brown at home.
Kaydrin Scott led SCU with 19 points, seven rebounds, and seven steals in an impressive two-way performance. Chrissen Harland added 18 points, knocking down a pair of threes and going 5-of-6 at the free-throw line. Carmella Jefferson provided a spark off the bench with 12 points, while Brooke Robertson chipped in 10, all from beyond the arc.
SCU played with resilience, tying the game 63–63 in the final seconds of regulation before heading into overtime. The Lady Eagles briefly evened the score again at 65–65, but John Brown closed the extra period with timely baskets to pull away late.
Despite the loss, SCU showed strong balance with four players in double figures and continued defensive pressure that produced 19 steals. The Lady Eagles move to 5–4 overall and 2–3 in SAC play.
