WEATHERFORD, Okla. — Southwestern Christian men's basketball came out firing on Monday night, trading blows with Southwestern Oklahoma through a tightly contested first half before ultimately falling 84–58 on the road.
The Eagles opened the game with confidence, knocking down a pair of early threes and holding multiple leads as the first half featured five ties and seven lead changes. Jalen Goar hit two early triples and finished with eight points, while Michal Wooldridge battled inside for nine points and a team-high eight rebounds.
JaColby Williams added eight points, and Augustine Chibuko continued to deliver efficient minutes off the bench with eight points, two rebounds, and a block. SCU's bench contributed 26 points overall, highlighted by Austin Smith's pair of threes in the closing minutes.
Despite the strong opening frame, SWOSU's size and transition game proved too much as the Bulldogs surged ahead with a 51-point second half. Elijah Jordan led all scorers with 17 points, and SWOSU outscored the Eagles 54–28 in the paint while winning the rebounding battle 44–32.
