WAXAHACHIE, Texas — Southwestern Christian Men's Basketball came out with solid guard play but couldn't slow a strong second-half surge from Nelson University, falling 90–66 on Thursday afternoon in Waxahachie TX.
Michal Wooldridge led the Eagles with 19 points and seven rebounds, while Kameron Burris added 15 points with three makes from beyond the arc. Jalen Goar chipped in 14 points, continuing his consistent scoring presence.
Defensively, Aiden Todd helped fuel SCU's pressure with four steals and five rebounds. The Eagles knocked down nine three-pointers and shot 41.7% from the field, but Nelson's offensive rhythm in the final 20 minutes created the separation SCU couldn't close.
Southwestern Christian, now 6–5 overall, continues conference play this weekend and will play at home on Saturday to face Texas Wesleyan in another important SAC matchup.
