Southwestern Christian women's basketball opened the new season with a huge win Friday at the Sheaffer Center, defeating Our Lady of the Lake 57–56 in a thrilling finish.
The game was tight from start to finish with five lead changes and three ties. SCU trailed entering the fourth quarter but closed strong, outscoring the Saints 16–11 to take the victory.
