Southwestern Christian University women's volleyball battled hard but fell in straight sets (20–25, 17–25, 10–25) to College of the Ozarks on Friday night at Keeter Gym.
The Lady Eagles showed energy early, keeping the opening set close before the Bobcats pulled away late. Brianna DeVries led SCU offensively with five kills and a .333 hitting percentage, while Jovana Perovic contributed four kills and four service aces for a team-high nine points. Charlyne Dupraz added six kills, and Megan Graham paced the offense with 12 assists.
Defensively, Lisa Gomez Lopez anchored the back row with seven digs, and setter Precious Skinner chipped in six more.
Despite consistent effort, the Lady Eagles couldn't slow down a sharp-hitting College of the Ozarks squad that posted a .293 team attack percentage.
Southwestern Christian dropped to 0–13 overall and 0–10 in conference play, while College of the Ozarks improved to 11–5 and 6–4. The Eagles will look to regroup and continue building momentum as they head into the final stretch of the regular season.
