CHICKASHA, Okla. — Southwestern Christian University men's soccer battled to a 1–1 draw against the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma (USAO) on Saturday afternoon at McLaughlin Field.
After a scoreless first half filled with physical play and multiple yellow cards, the Drovers struck first in the 46th minute when Thiago Fasano found the back of the net. The Eagles responded midway through the second half as sophomore forward Mathias Fasoli scored his first goal of the season in the 72nd minute to even the match.
Goalkeeper Enzo Camps was outstanding in net, collecting seven saves to keep SCU in contention. The Eagles fired 15 total shots — five on target — led by Augustine Mateos with four attempts and two on goal. Victor Lucca added two shots, including one on target.
The result moves Southwestern Christian to 7-4-4 overall and 2-3-3 in Sooner Athletic Conference play. The Eagles will look to build on their momentum when they return home for their next conference matchup.
