Bethany, Okla. - Southwestern Christian University returned to Bethany tonight to take on Langston University. Although it was a tough battle, turnovers caused SCU to fall short of the victory, 60-47.
SCU got off to a rocky start shooting-wise, but some clutch three pointers in the first quarter coupled with perfect shooting from the free throw line through the first two quarters kept the Eagles in the match through the first half. In the second, SCU's shot started to heat up, but in the face of a stout Langston defense, SCU could not find the shot quantity needed to compliment their newfound shot quality.
Delaney Reimer would finish the night as SCU's leading scorer with 13 points and was the only Eagle without a turnover, while
Chrissen Harland picked up 11 points.
Jayden Mason,
Kennedy Allison, and
Brooke Robertson had 8, 7, and 5 points respectively, as the five SCU starters made up the majority of SCU's offense tonight. Off the bench,
Whitney Wade had 3 points.
