Bethany, Okla. - Southwestern Christian took a narrow loss to Nelson University tonight to fall to 2-8 in SAC play. SCU started the game cold from the field, but were able to find their rhythm and make it a close contest by the end of the night.
Deondre Dunn and
Michal Wooldridge tied for the team lead in points with 14 each. Wooldridge had a double-double with 10 rebounds, while Dunn picked up 6 rebounds of his own coupled with 3 steals.
Chris Fetuga dropped 11 in his starting role, with 6 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals during his 33 minutes of action.
George McCurdy found 10 points, 2 assists, and 1 rebound, while
Deuce Kennedy had seven points, 4 rebounds, and an assist. SCU's starters made up the majority of SCU's production, although it was not enough to snap their losnig streak against Nelson.
