Chickasha, Okla. - Southwestern Christian traveled to University of Science and Arts tonight to take on the Drovers in the Eagle's last home game of the 2024 regular season. Although they were able to take one set off the Drovers, the Eagles were ultimately unable to find a win.
Paige McGee's 14 kills set the tone for SCU. She was also able to find 12 digs as she finished with a .306 hit%. Three SCU players finished with five kills, with
Brianna DeVries grabbing a service ace and 7 digs, while
Faith DeSouza grabbed an ace of her own with 19 assists and 16 digs.
Alondra Esparza rounded out the group, adding two blocks to her five kills. The Eagles were able to match the Drover's net defense, with both teams finishing with 8 blocks, but the Eagles were unable to capitalize on winning Set 3 as they were unable to mount a reverse 3-0 comeback.
