Eagles SAC tournament comes to end in semifinals.

Oklahoma City,OK.-- Southwestern Christian(36-16) split day two of the SAC tournament and saw their SAC tournament run come to an end in the semifinals, winning the elimination game against OPSU 3-1 and falling to #1 seed Oklahoma City 3-7.

Game 1: vs OPSU (W 3-1)
Southwestern Christian would score their only three runs in the bottom of the second, starting with Holly Elam scoring on a sac bunt by Maliyah Patton to grab the early lead at 1-0, Jalen Durrence would then hit a sac fly to bring in Addison Hanna to score to make it 2-0, then later in the inning Hannah Keele would hit a solo homerun over right to give the Eagles a 3-0 lead. The Aggies would try to start an rally in the fourth off Sarah Conley solo homerun to make it 3-1, but the SCU pitching staff shut down any OPSU comeback attempts to move on to the SAC tournament semifinals.

Game 2: vs Oklahoma City (L 3-7)
The Eagles fought hard in this game, but needed a miracle to beat the stars twice to advance to the SAC championship. The stars would get two early runs in the first, but SCU would respond in their half of the first on a double by Madison Jones that scored Hannah Keele from second, to make it 2-1. The Stars would add one run in the sixth to make it 3-1 over SCU. The Eagles had a tough time getting off the field in the seventh on two errors that hurt the Eagles which allowed OCU to score four runs to open the advantage to 7-1. The Eagles would try and start a rally in the seventh Patton would hit a two run homerun to make it 7-3, but the Stars pitcher Shelby Cornelson would not allow any more and close the gate on the pen on SCU to finish the game at 7-3.

The Eagles return to action will wait for the NAIA selection show to see if they received an at-Large bid after a 36 win season, but their season is not over if they do not.
