Chickasha,OK.-- Southwestern Christian(33-20) split day two of the conference tournament and saw their NAIA run come to end after beating cross town Rival in eight innings 16-6 and falling to Wayland Baptist after a lightning Delay 12-14.
Game 1: vs MACU (W 16-6, 8 Innings)
Southwestern Christian would get the run rule win over cross town rival Mid-America Christian 16-6 in eight innings, The Eagles got the early lead with a
Jhors Gomez double to center to score one and in the next at bat
Dario Paredes would single through the left side to score
Gomez to make it 2-0. In the second
Gomez would get walked with the bases loaded and in the next at bat
Dario Paredes would hit a Grand Salami over Left to extend the SCU lead to 7-0. MACU would try to claw back into the game with a two run homerun to make it 7-2. SCU would respond back with four runs in their half of third on
Draike Sparks two run double to center and one play later
Jake Cox would score on a wild pitch and on the same play
Sparks would score on throwing error by MACU to give SCU a 11-2 lead. MACU would two runs in the fourth and one in the fifth to cut into the Eagles lead and make it 11-5. The Eagles would respond in their half of the fifth with a single up the middle by
Sparks that scored Reeves from second to move the SCU lead to 12-5. MACU would try to cut into the SCU lead with a single through the right side to cut it to 12-6. Southwestern Christian would two insurance runs in the seventh to make it 14-6.
Draike Sparks would call game in the bottom of the eighth with a two run homerun with a two run walk off homerun to force the run rule over MACU and eliminate them from the SAC tournament.

Dario Paredes would hit a 2 run homer, his fifth in the SAC tournament to give SCU a 3-1 lead. In the sixth the Eagles would add an insurance run in the sixth with a solo homerun over left center to make it 4-1. The Game would get put into a lightning Delay for about hour and half before resuming play later that night at 10:00 PM. Then it was off to races after play resumed the Eagles would score five runs in the seventh and two runs in the eighth to take a 11-1 lead heading into bottom half of the eighth. In this half of the inning the wheels came off the wagon for the Eagles, the Pioneers would score three runs before
Ashton Durham would get back to back strikeouts to make it 11-4, then after a costly error and some other mistakes Wayland baptist would stack on a 13 run eighth inning to take the lead at 11-14. The Eagles would try to start a rally in the ninth, off a
Jhors Gomez sac fly to make it 12-14, but that was they could muster and end of the game and their SAC tournament run come to an end.
