Baseball sweeps Day two of NCCAA Baseball World Series

Kansas City,MO.-- Southwestern Christian(35-20) sweeps Day two of the NCCAA Baseball World Series after having to wait an extra day due to a weather delay on Day one of the tournament and have to play at 9:00 AM, but never the less beating Dallas Christian 4-0 and taking down College of the Ozarks 7-3 in the night cap game to move on in the winners bracket.

Game 1: vs Dallas Christian (W 4-0)
 The Eagles got it going in the second inning with a three run bomb by Draike Sparks with two outs to give the Eagles a 3-0 lead and in the Fourth Sparks would add one more to his RBI total with a two out Double to Left Center that scored Jake Cox from second to extend the Eagles lead to 4-0. Henrry Ogando and Connor O'Malley would combine for the Four hit shutout over the Crusaders, while O'Malley picked up the win and would move on to 5-2 this season and it allowed Ogando to stay under 60 pitches and should be available Monday against the Evangels after the one day rest period on Sunday for the NCCAA Baseball World Series.

Game 2: vs College of the Ozarks (W 7-3)
SCU would get the scoring started with Kyler Ayres sac fly to left that scored Joseph Boone to take the early lead at 1-0. The Eagles would add a run in the third with a Jhors Gomez RBI double down the right field line to extend the lead to 2-0. In the fifth Gomez would add to his RBI total with a single to center that scored Jake Cox from second to push the lead to 3-0 in the top of the fifth. The Bobcats would cut into the SCU lead with a homerun to left to make it 4-1 in the sixth. Then in the seventh Dario Paredes would respond back to COFO with solo bomb to left to make it a three run ball game in the top of the seventh. The Eagles would have big inning and pull away from COFO with a three run eighth, starting with Draike Sparks drawing a walk with the bases loaded to add to his RBI total for the day to make it 5-1, then in the next at-bat Tyler Reeves would also draw a walk to make 6-1, and into the next at-bat Gomez would add to his RBI total to make it three for this game with a sac fly to Right that would score Cox from third to make it a 7-1 ball game in the top of the eighth. In the Bottom half of the eighth the bobcats would try and ignite a rally with a two run homerun to cut the lead to four at 7-3, but Braden Corley would shut the door on the bobcats to win the game for SCU at 7-3. Gabriel Figueroa would get the win for SCU on 7.2 IP and move to 11-1 on the year.
