Kansas City,MO.-- Southwestern Christian(36-21) split Day three of the NCCAA Baseball World Series dropping Game one to Cross-town Rival MACU in the Semifinal of the Winners Bracket 3-6, but the Eagles were able to avoid elimination with the comeback win over College of the Ozarks with a late inning Rally to win it 9-8. Trinity Christian pulled the upset over the Evangels so now the remaining three teams each have one loss and whoever wins the SCU-TCC will play MACU for the Winner take all National Championship.
Game 1: vs Mid-America Christian (L 3-6)
MACU would open the scoring in the second on single that scored one run to take the early 1-0 lead over SCU. The Evangels would add insurance runs with one in the fourth, two in the fifth, and one in the sixth to take a 5-0 lead heading into the seventh.
Dario Paredes would get SCU on the board with a solo shot over Left center to cut the MACU lead to four and make it a 5-1 ball game, Then in the next at-bat
Joseph Boone would come all the way around to score off a single to right and two errors by MACU to make it a 5-2 ball game. Then in the Eighth
Draike Sparks would hit into a ground out but would score
Jake Cox from third to cut the Evangels lead to two and make it 5-3, but the Evangels would add to their lead in the ninth with a run to put it out of reach for the Eagles and the MACU closer would shut the door on SCU in the bottom of the ninth to end the game with a final score of 6-3 and send SCU to the losers side of the semifinals to play COFO in an elimination game.

COFO would get the game going with some hot bats scoring one run in the second on solo shot and plating three runs in the third to take an early 4-0 lead over SCU. The Eagles would respond to the hot start by the bobcats with a four run fifth inning to tie the game at four a piece, it got started with a
Jhors Gomez Three Run Bomb to left center to make it a 4-3 ball game, then of course
Dario Paredes follows that up with a Solo Bomb of his own to tie the game at 4-4. COFO would notch two runs in the score column in their half of the fifth to retake the lead at 6-4 heading into the sixth. Southwestern Christian would go on tear in the eighth, starting with a
Tyler Reeves single through the left side to plate
Jake Cox to cut the COFO lead to one at 6-5, the next up
Jhors Gomez would hit a single down the left field line to bring home
Draike Sparks to tie the game back up at 6-6, then
Dario Paredes would come to the plate looking to send SCU to the next stage in the World Series tournament and with a swing of the bat would send a moon shoot over left to give SCU a 9-6 lead in the eighth and complete a 5 run inning comeback. The Bobcats would try to start a rally in the eighth but would only manage to plate one run to make the score 9-7. But COFO was not ready to call it a season, in the ninth they would manage to plate a run on an error by SCU to make it 9-8 and got the tying run to second and the winning run on first after a walk, But
Connor O'Malley would get the call with two outs in the bottom of the ninth and he would need only five pitches and strike out the final batter to pick up the save and send SCU to the semifinals to play Trinity Christian, since the Trolls pulled the upset win over MACU and now only two more Wins stand between SCU Baseball and their first ever NCCAA National Championship.
