Fort Worth,TX.-- Southwestern Christian(18-9, 4-5 SAC) struggled in Fort Worth this weekend and could not avoid the sweep against Texas Wesleyan(21-7, 5-1 SAC) losing Game one 11-5 and dropping Game two 9-8.
Game 1:
Southwestern Christian would get the scoring started in the first inning by Draike Sparks hitting a two-run Homerun over Right, 2-0. Texas Wesleyan would respond in their half of the first with three runs to take the lead at 3-1. The Rams would go on to add two runs in the fourth and one run in the fifth leading 6-1 before SCU would respond in the top of the sixth off a Zane Bandfield Solo Homerun to cut the TWU lead at 6-3. Texas Wesleyan would respond in their half of the sixth with five runs to push their lead to 11-3. The Eagles would notch two runs in the seventh to begin chipping away at the lead starting with Dario Paredes hitting a Solo Homerun over Left and later SCU would score on a throwing error by the Rams but the Rally would end their as the Eagles fall in Game one 11-5.

Game 2:
Southwestern Christina would draw first blood in Game two in the first inning with Dario Paredes hitting a Double that scores two runners to give SCU an early 2-0 lead. The Rams would respond in their half of the first with one run to cut the lead to 2-1. Texas Wesleyan would take the lead in the second inning scoring two to make it a 3-2 ball game. The Eagles would respond in the top of the third to retake the lead at 5-2 starting with Phoenix Nelson bringing in a run on a sac fly and later SCU would score two runs on a Rams throwing error. The Rams notch a run a run in the fourth to cut the lead to 5-4. Southwestern Christian would add to their lead in the sixth off a two-run Homerun by Jhors Gomez to make it 7-4. Texas Wesleyan would respond in the sixth with five runs to retake the lead at 9-7. The Eagles would try to start a rally in the seventh, Braden Browning would hit a single with two outs where one run would come across, but the tying run would be cut down at home ending the game at 9-8.
