Fort Worth,TX.-- Southwestern Christian(18-7, 4-3 SAC) faltered in Game one of the series against Texas Wesleyan(19-7, 3-1 SAC) losing 16-6 to the Rams in eight innings.

 The Rams got the scoring started in the bottom of the second with three runs to take an early 3-0 lead. Texas Wesleyan would add three insurance runs in the fourth to push their lead to 6-0. Southwestern Christian would chip into the lead in the fifth with a run scoring on a Texas Wesleyan error to make it 6-1. Then the Eagles would notch another one in the score column in the sixth inning off a Homerun over Left by Dario Paredes to cut the lead to 6-2. The Rams would add three run in the seventh to extend their lead to 9-2 over the Eagles. Southwestern Christian would not go quietly, they would cut the lead to three in the eighth with a four run inning, starting with Tyler Reeves forcing a walk with the bases loaded 9-3, Then the Eagles would score one on a wild pitch to make 9-4, and a little later Jhors Gomez would single to left and score two runs to make it a 9-6 ball game going into the bottom of the eighth. Texas Wesleyan responded with a big inning of their own in their half of the eighth with seven runs to force the run rule over SCU and finish Game one 16-6.
