Hillsboro,KS.-- Southwestern Christian(18-6) feel just short of pulling of a big win, falling to (
RV) Tabor(15-9), 7-5. The Blue Jays pulled away in the end to beat the Eagles.
Tabor College would open the scoring in the first inning with one run and two runs in the fourth to make 4-0 heading into the fifth. Southwestern Christian would have their big inning in the fifth starting the scoring with
Jake Cox hitting a single to right to move a run across to bring it 3-1, then two at-bats later
Dario Paredes would bit a Grand Salami over Left, a no doubter to give the Eagles the lead at 5-3 heading into the bottom half of the fifth inning. Tabor would get a run back in the fifth to cut the lead to one at 5-4. The Blue Jays would tie the game in the seventh off a double and in the eighth would take the lead on a Homerun and add an insurance run on a wild pitch later in the inning, extending their lead to 7-5, heading into the ninth. Tabor College would shut the door of the pen of the Eagles in the ninth as the offense could not start a Rally and Tabor would get the win over southwestern Christian 7-5.
