Bethany,OK.-- Southwestern Christian(18-5, 4-2 SAC) complete the series sweep over OK Panhandle State(7-14-1, 2-4 SAC) with a dominate showing of offense by the Eagles which ended the day with 15 hits.
The Eagles would get rolling in the first scoring a run on an Aggies Throwing Error, then in the next at bat Dario Paredes would single down the Right field line scoring the runner from second to give the Eagles an early 2-0 lead. Southwestern Christian would add two runs in the fourth, starting with Zane Bandfield hitting a single to left center to drive in a run, then in the next at bat Tyler Reeves doubled to left center to bring in a run, extending the Eagles lead to 4-0. In the fifth, SCU would add three more runs, getting started with Dario Paredes reaching on a fielders choice on a wild play that scored a runner that was on third, then Phoenix Nelson hitting a single to right to add on, then Braden Browning hitting a grounder to third that scored a runner from third for the RBI, the Eagles now had a commanding 7-0 lead heading into the sixth. Panhandle State would respond in the sixth with two runs to bring the score at 7-2 and the Aggies would notch a run in the seventh on single through the left side to make it 7-3. Southwestern Christian would respond in their half of the seventh with two runs, Braden Browning drove in a run with a double to right center and later Zane Bandfield would single through the Left side and drive in a runner for SCU and make it a 9-2 Ball game. The Eagles would stop the offense in the eighth with three more runs, Dario Paredes would start the scoring with a double to left that scored a runner and in the next at bat Phoenix Nelson would single to right center and score the runner from second, Braden Browning later in the inning would single through the right side and score a run to give SCU a dominating 12-3 lead over OPSU.
