Oklahoma City,OK.-- Southwestern Christian(16-13) powers through Langston(17-13), never trailing in the Semifinal. Once the Eagles took the lead in the first, they never looked back, going up as much as 25 at one point in the game, The Eagles dominated both ends of the floor with stellar shooting as passing on Offense and Stiff hard nosed defense.
Southwestern Christian ended the game shooting 26-55(47%) from the floor, while shooting 1-7(38%) from beyond the Arc, SCU shot 13-19(68%) from the Free Throw Line. The Eagles had 42 Rebounds to the Lady Lions 41, Christina Jenkins leading the way with eight, and SCU finished the night with 17 assist, MJ Case leading the team with 10. Southwestern Christian had six steals on the night, Jayden Mason and Lauren Masquat both leading the way with two a piece.
Christina Jenkins led the scoring for SCU with 18 pts, 8 Rebs, 4 Ast, 3 Blk,& 1 Stl on 9-17 shooting. Jayden Mason finished the night with 17 pts, 4 Reb, 2 Ast, & 2 Stls. MJ Case & Lauren Wade both finishing the night with 12 pts a piece.
Southwestern Christian returns to action on the road for the SAC tournament Championship in the Gaulke Activity Center on the Campus of Mid-America Christian university on Tuesday February 28th against Wayland Baptist Flying Queens and the winner, will not only be crowned conference tournament champ but will receive an automatic bid to play in the NAIA Women's Basketball National Tournament in Souix City,IA.
