Springdale,AR.-- Southwestern Christian(12-3) splits the day one doubleheader with Ecclesia(3-9) losing game one 1-0 , but winning game two 7-2, both games featured good pitching performances by the Eagle Starters, just an unlucky play cost the Eagles their winning streak of seven in a row, but bounced back to close out the day with the win in game two.
Game 1:
Southwestern Christian had a tough time getting their offense going in game one with only accumulating five hits in the game. The lone score of the game came in the bottom of the seventh, when an Ecclesia batter doubled to left, then the next batter for the Royals was intentionally walked to try and force a double play, but on the next at-bat, the Royals would get win off a throwing Error by the Eagles when a bunt was laid down the third base line and a wild throw got by the Eagle first baseman and the Ecclesia runner on second came around to score and win the game for the Royals 1-0 over Southwestern Christian.

Game 2:
Southwestern Christian started the scoring with a five run first inning and did not look back, starting with a single by Jake Cox to Right to score a runner to make it 1-0, then Phoenix Nelson would follow with a single of his own to right and score an Eagles runner to bring the SCU lead to 2-0, Joseph Boone would single to on a pop fly to shallow center to drive in a run and make it 3-0, Zane Bandfield would follow in the inning a Double to Right and drive in two Eagles runners and give the Eagles an early 5-0 lead heading into the second. The Eagles would go scoreless heading up into the fifth inning, but adding insurance runs with two runs in the fifth with a two run Homerun over center by Dario Paredes to give the Eagles a 7-0 lead. Ecclesia would respond in their bottom half of the fifth with two runs, but the Eagles starter Gabriel Figueroa would them down in the rest of the fifth and the sixth before turning it over to Mozart Duarte in the pen with shutting the door of the pen and he did that in the seventh with three strikeouts.
