Eagles split Day two at Cajun Collision

Sterlington,LA.-- Southwestern Christian(5-2) split the doubleheader on Day two of the Cajun Collision losing game one to Missouri Baptist 6-0 in the noon game and then beating Campbellsville 7-1 in game two. The Eagles overall finished 2-2 at the Cajun Collision. 

Game one:
Missouri Baptist would keep the SCU offense at bay this game only giving up three hits. Missouri Baptist would score two runs in the first, one in the fourth, and three in the sixth to beat the Eagles, 6-0.
Henrry Ogando picks up the Loss, and moves to 1-1 on the early season. Jake Cox had the best showing at the plate, going 1-2 with a walk.

Game two:
Southwestern Christian drew first blood in the fourth inning, when Kyler Ayres singled to Right to drive in a run to give SCU the 1-0 lead. The Eagles would add more runs in the fifth, starting off a wild pitch that let an Eagle runner score from third and then Dario Paredes single to shallow right would score a runner, and then the Eagles would tally their third run of the inning off an error by the tigers and it make the score 4-0. SCU would score a run in the sixth when Jhors Gomez singled to Right to drive in a run and SCU would score two runners off of two passed balls in the seventh inning, the Tigers would scratch a run across in the bottom of the seventh to make it 7-1, but that we be all the they could manage and the Eagles would get the dub to leave Louisiana 2-2. 

Gabriel Figueroa would get the Win, his second on the year, that now makes him 2-0 to start the campaign, he finished 6.1 IP, 2 H, 0 Er, & 12 Ks.

The Eagles return to action February 17th & 18th for a Tri-Match featuring College of the Ozarks and Bacone College. First pitch is at 9:30 AM at Eagle Field at Dolese Park for more SCU Eagle Baseball
