Sterlington, LA.-- Southwestern Christian(4–0,) splits the first day at the Cahun Collision Tournament. The first game SCU handle Baker University winning 7-1 but the second game struggled against Clarke University 0-5. Games were at 11AM and 6PM on Friday.

Game 1

Southwestern Christian played Bake University Wildcats on Friday at the Cajun Collision winning 7-1. SCU came out hot in this game scoring the first two inning, the first time they scored was in the 1st inning when Nelson had the bases loaded and was walked scoring Cox from 3rd base. The next time SCU scored was in the 2nd inning when Kyler Ayers hits a GRAND SLAM over center field scoring Nelson, Boone, Gomez. Jake Cox would continue this inning hitting a single to right field scoring Reeves and advancing Ford to 3rd base. In that same inning Jhors Gomez reaches base safely on a fielders choice and scoring Ford. Braden Corley gets the win in this match up, he pitched 5 innings with 5 hits and only 1ER.

Southwestern Christian played Clarke University Pride on Friday night in another Cajun Collision matchup. SCU struggled against Clarke in this game only having 3 hits but had 10 strikeouts. The Eagles end of losing this game 5-0 to complete the first day at the Cajun Collision.
