Bethany,OK.-- Southwestern Christian(1-2) women's soccer team picks up win number one on the 2022 campaign against McPherson College, winning 3-1.
McPherson would open the attack in the early portion of the match with some shots on goal that did not trouble
Lucio. In the 25th minute
Chrissy Mitchell would score her second Goal of the campaign to give SCU a 1-0 lead, then not even a minute later
Evelyn Silva would notch her first in 2022 with a goal from 20 yards out to give SCU a 2-0 advantage over McPherson. The Eagles would go into halftime with a two nil advantage. Mitchell would pick up an assist on the Silva Goal to give her another first for the season.

Mckinley Lee would give the Eagles a larger advantage when she would score in the 66th minute from a beautiful pass from
Nyah Bussellato to give the Eagles a 3-0 advantage. McPherson would score in the beginning of the 83rd minute to bring it to 3-1.
Celeste Lucio would get six saves on the day from 12(7) McPherson shots(SoG). The Eagles would put up 23 shots of their own with 13 of them SoG. McPherson would have the slight advantage on corner kicks, 5-4, especially since three of the corners were with rapid succession of each other in just under a one minute thirty.
The Eagles will return the action at home on Cagle Family Field as they will face off against Avila University on Sept.10th at 11:00 am for more NAIA Women's Soccer.
