Bethany, Okla. - The non conference matchup between the Southwestern Christian University Lady Eagles and the Avila University Eagles finished tied 2-2 at the end of regulation.

Celeste Lucio recorded 4 saves in the contest - 3 in the second half, staving off the Avila comeback. The Lady Eagles kept fouls low throughout the match, recording only 3 at the end of the game, as opposed to Avila's 7.

Riley Stanfill led the offensive charge for the Eagles, accounting for both SCU goals as she picked up a Brace. Harlie Findley paved the way for Stanfill's shots, however, and picked up an assist on both goals.

Southwestern Christian will receive a break between matchups, as they prepare for a short road trip starting at University of thr Ozarks  (Arkansas) on September 16th. In the matchup against Central Christian, SCU begins Sooner Athletic Conference play for the 2022 season.
