Shreveport, LA.-- Southwestern Christian (0-2) women's soccer team falls to LSU-Shreveport (3-0) 4-1 in today's match.

LSUS opened the game with Header off a Corner Kick in the fifth minute to give the pilots a 1-0 lead. Defense would be the name of the game for most of the first half for SCU as the Eagles forced bad shot after bad shot on the Pilots. Southwestern Christian would get the equalizer in the 35th minute with a great through ball by Angiolini Marina to setup Chrissy Mitchell who shot it from eight yards out to tie the game at 1-1 and go into halftime at 1-1.

LSUS stormed out in the second half scoring the go-ahead goal in the 58th minute, and also score two more goals in the 63rd and 83rd minutes to give themselves a 4-1 lead. Celeste Lucio would end the day with seven saves on 11 LSUS shot on goal. The big stat of the game was LSUS having nine corner kicks to SCU 0, overall, that was crucial as LSUS was able to score off two of those corners. 

The Eagles will return to action at Home on Cagle Family Field on Sept. 3rd at 1:00 PM as they will face off against McPherson College here in Bethany.
