Dallas,Texas.—Southwestern Christian dropped their fifth straight game on Monday afternoon as University of North Texas at Dallas got the 86-66 win over SCU.
Southwestern Christian (10-11, 8-10 SAC) played from behind throughout the entire game and were unable to keep up with an UNT-D (9-15, 5-12 SAC) team that was a little more rested. The Eagles kept the game within striking distance for the majority of the contest, but ran out of gas over the final 10 minutes as the Trailblazers continued to extend their lead.
The Trailblazers shot 32-66 from the field averaging 49%, 6-23 from the three point line averaging 26% and shot 16-26 from the free throw line averaging 62%
Ron Washington led the way for Southwestern Christian. He notched 14 points, hauled in 3 rebounds, He shot 3-3 from the 3 point line. Derek Dantzler had 13 points in this game with 2 Rebounds. Ronald Moore followed them with 12 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assist.
With just four games remaining on the schedule, SCU will look win out and go into the conference tournament with a win streak. The Eagles will return to action at home, Thursday, February 10th, at 7:45 PM against John Brown University (16-10, 10-8SAC) in another Sooner Athletic Conference matchup.
