Bethany, Okla.—Southwestern Christian University gets back in the win column on Thursday afternoon against John Brown University with a 84-61 victory.
Southwestern Christian (11-11, 9-10 SAC) played from behind throughout the first half of the game but were able to have a comeback late in the first half to go up 41-36 going into halftime. The Eagles kept the fire going into the second half of the game and kept making the lead bigger as the half went on. The Golden Eagles could not keep up with the red hot Eagles.
The Golden Eagles shot 23-65 from the field averaging 35%, 10-32 from the three point line averaging 31% and shot 5-7 from the free throw line averaging 71%
Ron Washington led the way for Southwestern Christian once again coming off the bench. He notched 18 points, hauled in 5 rebounds, and had 7 assist. Derek Dantzler had 16 points in this game with 9 Rebounds, and 4 assist. Ronald Moore followed them with 12 points, 2 rebounds.
The Eagles will return to action on Saturday, February 12th, at 4:00 PM against Oklahoma City University (13-13, 12-7 SAC) in another Sooner Athletic Conference matchup.
