Bethany, Okla.--Southwestern Christian(16-13,10-12 SAC) gets the First round Win over #9 seed Southwestern Assemblies of God,72-53 with a 21pt performance by Tresha Yager. SAGU shot 22-72 from the field averaging 31%, 7-26 from the three averaging 27% and shot 2-3 from the free throw line averaging 67%.  Autumn Moore led SAGU with 15 points. The Lady Eagles forced 11 turnovers on SAGU resulting in 20 points, SCU had 3 steals and 3 Blocks on the night. Gillian Snowder led with 2 steals and Lauren Wade had one on the night.Thamires Andrade, MJ Case, and Christina Jenkins each had a block tonight.
 
Southwestern Christian shot relatively well tonight, The Lady Eagles shot 28-57 from the floor averaging 49%, also shot 8-19 from three (42%) and from the free throw line shot 8-14 (57%). Tresha Yager led the Lady Eagles in points tonight with 21. The Lady Eagles Out-Rebounded the Lady Tigers 36-27, SCU had 9 offensive rebounds and scored 4 second chance points, Lauren Wade led SCU in Rebounds and finished with 11. The bench contributed 20 points to the effort, Gillian Snowder led the 2nd team squad shooting 4-6 from the floor, she finished the game with 8 pts & 5 Reb. The Eagles had 21 assist in the game,Thamires Andrade led the Lady Eagles in Assist and finished the night with 8,while Abbey Phibbs finished right behind her with 7 assist of her own. SCU finished with 24 pts in the paint.

Tresha Yager tied the SCU WBB school record of most three point shots made in one game with seven on the night,she finished the night with 7-15 shooting and 7-14 from three, Her Final stat line was, 21 pts, 5 Reb,& 1 Ast. Abbey Phibbs also contributed to the Offensive effort with 2-6 shooting from the field and 6-6 from the free throw line, Her Final stat line was 10 pts, 7 Ast,and 3 Reb.Lauren Wade finished the game with 4-8 shooting from the floor, she finished with 8pts,11 Reb,1 Ast,& 1 Stl. Gillian Snowder final stat line was 8pts,5 Reb,& 2 Stl.

The Lady Eagles will return to action on the Road, Friday, February 25th, in Plainview,TX at 6:00 PM against the #1 seed Wayland Baptist(28-3,20-2 SAC) for the Quarterfinal Round of the Sooner Athletic Conference tournament, the Winner will move on to play against the Winner of the #4 seed USAO & #5 seed Langston, while the loser gets sent home. The overall goal remains the same, become the Champ and get the invite to Sioux City, Iowa and now that roads leads through Wayland Baptist in the Quarterfinals. One Win Down, Three to Go!!
